IGY Marinas has expanded their marine Portfolio in Florida. They have added One Island Park on Miami Beach. This is the first time IGY is able to serve the market in South Florida and yachts are already being welcomed to this new destination.
One of the leading destinations for luxury yachts in the United States is Miami, Florida. The new IGY facility will be able to accommodate much larger vessels and they are excited about the upcoming year. They have one of the biggest private docks for yachts and can accommodate vessels well over 730 feet. Currently IGY has fifteen locations and five are able to accommodate yachts more than 300 feet.
Gili Wojnowich has been appointed general manager of IGY to ensure a smooth transition. Wojnowich is a professional with an impressive background and a Bachelor’s degree in finances and Spanish. He also speaks English and Hebrew and attended Emory University.
The new IGY Marina is considered a hotspot for the owners of superyachts, their crew and their captains. The new One Island Park Marina is located right next to the United States Coastguard station as well as being both exclusive and secure.
BWA Yachting serves as the exclusive concierge and yacht agent. Specialized events will be hosted for philanthropic ties to the destination. The marina is closely located to entertainment, dining and shopping and set against the skyline of Miami. World renown events such as the Ultra Music Festival, the Miami International Boat Show and the Art Basel Miami will be enjoyed by the guests.

First Founded in September 1795, the Hasty Pudding Club is recognized as not only Harvard’s most famous, but also America’s oldest collegial social club whose founding members pledged to maintain and cultivate social affections and patriotism. Named for the meal that its founding members first had, the Hasty Pudding Club has grown to become a predominate social club in American History with a distinguished membership roster which includes five US Presidents, several actors and multitudes of politicians and business leaders. As the Society’s membership grew, the Society began to absorb other groups including the Institute of 1770 and is now the only co-ed social club on campus.
Worthy of its historic past, the Hasty Pudding Club today has played many roles in society and its members have contributed to both society, generally, and theater, specifically. On occasion, the Hasty Pudding Club has awarded extraordinary individuals in the entertainment business with the Order of the Golden Sphinx Award for that individual’s contributions to entertainment. The individual that receives this prestigious award does so because he or she represents the Club’s mission to foster the performing arts at Harvard and in society generally. The Sphinx, widely recognized as a symbol of knowledge, can only be said to be an allegorical representation of what the Hasty Pudding Club has done for American entertainment.
The 2017 Order of the Golden Sphinx award will be awarded to Mr. Paris Barclay (see: Grand Sphinx Farkas to Honor Barclay at Gala), the President of the Director’s Guild of America, on April 3rd, 2017 at the Paramount Hotel in New York. Mr. Barclay will be the first recipient of the Golden Sphinx award that was also a member of the Hasty Pudding Club as an undergraduate. During his sophomore and senior years, Mr. Barclay composed two Hasty Pudding Club productions, Cardinal’s Knowledge (1977) and Overtures in Asia Minor (1979) as well as ten other plays and musicals and was an active member and director of the Harvard Krokodiloes, a cappella singing group.
